Another Over-Night With Addy

Last weekend Jeremy and Emily wanted to tackle some major cleaning at their house so we took Addy for an over-night visit. She us such a sweetie and we always have so much fun when she visits. Besides playing in the house Jim took her outside for a ride on the tobaggan. She's really beginning to talk and she seems to understand everything you say to her.

Chris Spends A Day At Independance

This past week the boys were on Spring Break from school and Chris had a chance to spend the day with his dad working at Independance. They were checking fire hydrants that day . It looks like a cold day to be playing in the water.

Josh 's Spring Concert

Last week Josh was in the Spring Concert at his school. He's gotten to be quite the trumpet player. I hope soneday he has a concert when we are going to be there. I would love to go listen to them.

Jim's "Fight For Air" Tower Climb

Today, 7 members of the Independence Fire Department Ohio participated in the American Lung Association's Climb for Air, in Cleveland. We climbed 42 floors in full turnout gear with air packs. It was quite a challenge. Personally, I was als.o climbing for Cathy's Dad who passed away almost 10 years ago from lung cancer.

Many thanks to the friends who donated to our team and us individually,. We were able to raise a total of $2780. Very impressive for a small team!

An Overnight With Addy

Last week Addy's Daycare was closed on President's Day so she stayed over with us Sunday night and we took her back home Monday night. We met up with Jeremy and Emily after they got done work and they treated us to dinner before we headed back home. We had a great time with Addy as usual although she has become a very busy little girl. She has discovered the pantry and like to check out what's in there and pick out something thast looks good to eat ( at least to her). She is talking more and more and seems to understand just about everything you say to her. We have such a great time when she visits.

Snow, Mother Nature's Fun and the Deer

We havve amassed quite a bit of snow in the past week or so. I think Jim has had his fill of smownlowing for awhile. We noticed this shape on one of the trees the other day and wondered if Mother Natute was questioning her decisions this winter or was she thinking back to Christmas and Candy Canes? The deer are starting to show up in the yard trying to find edible grass in the areas where the snow is not so deep due to Jim snowblowing.

A Saturday With Addy

Yesterday Jennifer was lucky enough to have Addy come to entertain her for the day. They had fun and spent part of the day at the MOST where there is always something new to see and so many fun things to do.
