Sunday Dinner-Sept. 27, 2015

Today Jeremy, Emily and the girls, Jon and Jennifer came for Sunday dinner. Jack is in Calgary for another week or so for his job so he and Kelly weren't here.

  Jim and Addy did some Science using milk, food coloring and dish soap. Cora is teething and was having a bad day but still managed to smile a lot.

 At dinner Addy "shared" a taste of her chocolate pie with Cora who thought that was pretty good.

When they were getting ready to go home Addy started to cry. I have mixed feelings about this as I'm glad she wants to stay but I don't like to see her sad. Maybe in a few weeks we can do another over-night with both girls.

 

 

A Day At The Zoo

Last Tuesday Jennifer took the day off from work so Jim could help her with a few projects at her house. When they got done they went and picked up the girls and went to the Zoo for the afternoon. They had a fun day and the kids loved seeing all the animals.

Jennifer Complete's A 70.3 Race

On Sunday Jennifer participated in a 70.3 race at Sackets Harbor, just South of Watertown. Her feelings on the race:

Finally got to finish a 70.3 race this year after the abrupt stop of the Syracuse 70.3 race in June. Did the Sackets Harbor 70.3 on Sunday. Pretty rough conditions in the swim, bike and run. Tough swim due to the waves, tough bike in the rain and very windy conditions and a run through the rain and ankle deep puddles in places. Was very wet by the end but happy to finally accomplish what I had set out to do this year.

Celebrating Jim's Birthday

Jim's birthday was Friday so on Saturday we had dinner here for al the kids. Jennifer picked up Addy and Cora around noon and brought them here so we could have extra time with them. They are always so much fun to have visit and Jim enjoyed every minute. He and Addy licked the frosting bowl, blew some bubbles and played on the playground. Cora was her usual sweet self and amazes us with how she is trying to walk at only 10 months old. She seems to really love playing with the dolls. It was a fun afternoon.

I'M BACK!!!

It's been awhile but I'm going to try to catch up and then post more often. We had a busy summer starting with Chris' High School graduation, his graduation from Fire School, Jim and Josh's July visit, Jeremy and Emily's camping week at Letchworth, Jennifer's numerous Marathons and Tri's, Jim and Cathy and Boys August visit and finishing up with Jim and Jennifer's day at he NY State Fair last week. I will add as many photos as I can.

Christmas 2015

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. We started out with Jon and Jennifer joining us on Christmas eve for a light supper and a game of dominoes. Jennifer spent the night here. On Christmas day the kids ( except for Jim and Cathy and the boys) arrived around 11:30 and we opened the gifts followed by a Lasagna dinner.

 On Friday Jim and I headed to Ohio with a stop in Sodus to see Mom. We got to Hiram about 7pm  and, after a delicious chicken dinner, we opened gifts again. On Saturday Jim and Cathy had invited Mark and shelly Stone and their boys over and we had a fantastic pulled Pork dinner On Sunday Jim , Papa and Josh went to the movies. Cathy had to go into her office for awhile and I enjoyed watching some ION TV and doing some knitting. We headed home on Monday and were back in Pulaski by 4pm. We picked up the mail and some subs for supper and came home, unpacked the car, and spent a relaxing evening watching TV.

Thanksgiving

Jim and I hosted Thanksgiving this year and we had 26 guests join us for Turkey and all the trimmings.It was a nice day with cooperative weather and a good time was had by all.

Jennifer Ends 2014 Race Season With A Half-Marathon

What a year for races. Started the year with the 10 mile Mountain Goat, then Green Lakes sprint tri, Oswego Intermediate tri, Aquabike at Musselman, Delta Lake Intermediate tri, the I'm All That at the Skan Races (Skinnyman sprint tri, Escape From the Judge swim, 5K road race) and the finale of this epic year was today - the Empire State Half Marathon. Cold and windy but finished in 2:50. Now, time for a break before winter tri training begins

Air Show-Cleveland, Ohio Sunday-August 31st

Today Jim, Cathy, Josh and josh's friend Georgio attended the Cleveland Air Show. It was a beautiful sunny day and the demonstrations were awesome.

A Weekend With Addy-August 24th and 25th

Jeremy and Emily are going to rent a table at the Colton Flea Market tomorrow and they have to leave home about 5am to get there and set up so Jim and I took Addy for an overnight. It is always such fun to have her visit. The last time she was here we had some homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies and she thought they were the best. When she got her Saturday she asked for a cookie so Jim offered her some Animal Crackers But she wasn't interested. We showed her that the cookie jar was empty but she still insisted she wanted a cookie. Jim remembered he had a small package of Chips Ahoy so he offered those and then she was happy. The moral of this story is to always have some homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies on hand.

A Day At The NY State Fair-August 22nd

Today Jim, Jim and Josh picked up Jennifer and they spent the day at the Fair. It was a little rainy when they first arrived but soon cleared up and made way for a very pleasent day with moderate temperatures and minimal crowds. There were quite a few new things to see this year as well as the old favorites. Josh said he had an awesome day and everyone came home tired but happy.
